An IECEx certificate contains detailed information about the certified equipment and compliance status. Key sections include:

1.Certificate Number (Certificate No.)

A unique number that can be verified and downloaded on the IECEx website.

2.Status

Indicates whether the certificate is current (valid) or cancelled (revoked).

3.Issue Number

Represents the revision of the certificate. 0 means first issuance, subsequent numbers indicate updates.

4.Date of Issue

The official date when the certificate becomes effective.

5.Certificate History

Records all previous issuance dates, helping track changes or revisions over time.

6.Applicant

Displays the name and address of the organization applying for certification, typically the manufacturer. OEMs or ODMs may also act as applicants.

7.Equipment or Ex Component

Lists the certified equipment or components, including model numbers and specifications. If detailed, supplementary annexes may be provided. 

 

8.Type of Protection

Specifies the explosion-proof protection method used in the equipment.

9.Marking

Shows the official IECEx explosion-proof marking of the equipment.

10.Authorized Signatory

The representative authorized by the ExCB who issues the certificate.
